High Teas

If neither a glass of wine nor a cup of coffee is what you are craving then this week you are in luck because we are  focussing on tea.

Retro Vibe

Located on the strand in Port Elliot (just a delightful 40-minute drive from Bellevue B&B), is the Retro Vibe. It is a great place if you just want to have a laidback afternoon.

The furniture in the cafe is cool, with a lot of it for sale (and plenty of non-furniture items for sale as well) so you get to try it before you buy.  They have a record player(!) and plenty of vinyl so the music is great. There’s plenty of formica and vinyl furniture to set the scene.

The team is friendly and helpful plus the food is great. Warm up your afternoon in this relaxing place. The cafe inside has plenty of room with a choice of seating areas (includes cosy nooks) bonus; there is and outdoor deck.

You also get to experience their retro-inspired dishes (often available) so get your taste buds ready!

Old school wraps (salami, tomato and cream cheese, for example), Devonshire tea (2 large scones with home-made strawberry jam, and fresh cream), and naturally a great pot of tea.

Oh, did we mention there is complimentary WIFI.

Tealicious Cakes

Located just off of the main street in Willunga on the Aldinga Road (an easy 7-minute drive from @bellevuebb) is Tealicious Cakes.

This is an OTT venue (think crystal chandeliers!), this tearoom is however home to the most delicious, yummy, edible works of art. The service complements these mouthfuls of joy and makes for an unforgettable experience. Tealicious high teas are delectable and come with a variety of teas, a handpicked ‘tealicious’ coffee blend (did you notice the tea-ness of that pun! It’s not ours we lifted that directly from their website) and fluffy homemade scones, all served lashings of local jams and fresh Fleurieu cream.

They provide an excellent range of teas and cakes, biscuits, croissants, scones, macarons and light lunches. However; the standout feature of Tealicious is their range of amazing cupcakes. This place is cupcake heaven.

The cupcakes are decorated in an array of colourful and sweet designs. It should be noted that the range of cupcakes changes frequently so your favourite this week may not be there when you return next week.

Tealicious is the ideal place for a gathering or catch up with friends or even as a gift for that special someone

Inside the tearoom pastel pink and white are the dominate shades on the walls, there are comfy upholstered chairs, marble tables, silver mirrors on the walls and chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. This place has been designed to make it unforgettable.

Wanting the traditional three-tier High Tea? Then this is the place for you! Tea is served in china cups, because you prefer it that way!

Takeaway “High tea in a box” now available. If you have all the cups and saucers and want to do it at home, or for a beautiful picnic, they can provide the sweet and savoury high tea treats.
