Matt Rechner, the irrepressible, ever-laughing owner and talented winemaker, is almost always on hand to answer questions, offer advice, and fuss over his visitors. Among his many accomplishments is a trophy for Australia’s Best Shiraz.

This cellar door not only offers tastings of Matt’s excellent handcrafted wines, but also sensational handmade beers such as his unique and highly sought after Ekhidna Ginger Beer.

The Ekhidna kitchen, which produces beautiful Tapas and a la carte meals, rounds out the taste experience. Ekhidna Kitchen has an enviable high reputation among locals, which is a sure sign of success.
