What type of B&B are you?
We are a traditional hosted Bed & Breakfast

Do you live in the B&B?
Yes.

Will we have to socialise with the hosts?

We tend to be around for breakfast and to welcome guests. We give you advice about all the things to do in McLaren Vale, but we leave you alone and give you privacy. The sitting-room is for guests only – we hosts have our own private space. That said, we have made some wonderful friends and have many returning guests.

Will we be the only guests?
Highly unlikely – we have 2 guest rooms – so the chances of other people staying at the same time are quite high (unless, of course, you book both of our rooms). While your ensuite room is private, there is also the shared guest lounge, dining room and courtyard.

Do I need to cook my own breakfast?
We prepare, cook and serve you your breakfast. You have the choice of a fantastic 3 course Full Taste or a Light Taste breakfast. Breakfast is served in the guest lounge around a communal breakfast table.

What time is breakfast?
Breakfast is served between 8am and 9.30am. We are happy to serve a Light Taste continental breakfast anytime before 8am.

What if I have allergies or a dietary restriction?

PLEASE! Let us know well in advance and we will do out best to make you something to fit your diet. Don’t tell us in the morning just as you are about to sit down at the table. please bear in mind that if you prefer a particular brand of soy/almond milk or gluten free bread or cereal etc, you might be wise to bring your own.

Can I smoke on the property?
Absolutely not…. You are more than welcome to smoke on the council footpath and on the street but not anywhere on the property.

Can we cook our own meals?
No, we do not provide for self-catering.

Are there any cooking facilities?
We have a small kitchenette with tea and coffee, of course there is a fridge as well. (please note there is no oven/microwave or stove top)

How close is the nearest restaurant?
There are 2 excellent restaurants within 100m.

How close is the nearest cellar door?
Our nearest cellar door is 400m.

What time is check in?
To help you plan your day and us prepare for other guests, please observe the following.
Check in is between 3pm until 5pm. If you anticipate arriving after 5pm please phone to let us know on 0432 868 402.

What time is check out?
Checkout is anytime before noon.

Do you have a spa, bath or pool?
No.

Are children welcome?
Indeed they are. Please Note the following conditions:

Children will be charged at the full adult tariff.
Ours bedroom accommodate a maximum of 2 people either two adults or an adult and child.
If there are 2 adults and child then both bedrooms must be booked.

Are pets welcome?
Sorry. No they are not, however, we can recommend a boarding kennel and a local cattery.

Do you sell gift certificates?
We sell gift certificates – minimum purchase is 1 Nights accommodation.

Deposit
All phone/email booking require a one night or 50% deposit (whichever is greater) at time of booking,
Booking made through our secure online booking facility and all third party website such as Expedia/Wotif/Booking.com require full payment at time of booking

Do you have a cancellation policy?
Yes we do.
Should you need to cancel or alter your booking, please inform us as soon as possible on 0432 868 402.

Cancellations:
You will be charged the value of the first nights accommodation if you cancel after reservation and the total price of the booking if you cancel in the 14 days before arrival.

We advise all guests to take out travel insurance, to cover against the cost of cancellation.

What happens if I need to leave early
Early departures will not be refunded,

How do we cancel our reservation?

You may cancel through phone, e-mail or text. We are human beings after all and we all forget things. We ask simply that you keep documentation of your cancellation, so please make sure you have a valid e-mail on file with us when you book.

If for whatever reason you booked through a website with an automatic payment method or a 3rd party booking agent like Expedia, remember that you need to cancel with the booking agent first.

What are the parking arrangements?
There is an off street parking space for each guest room.

How many people does each room cater for?
Maximum occupancy per room is two people.

Do you offer Wi-Fi?
Yes we offer all guests complimentary wi-fi
